Today marks the start of the 5th week of chemo and radiation... He is doing really well. Still not suffering from anything more than nausea and a little discomfort at the radiation site. I was able to spend another week with him in Chicago and we enjoyed a nice visit with MikeandMelody Perry Mierop. He looks great and I am so happy that we were led to the CTCA in Chicago. He is receiving the absolute best care from the most sensitive and positive people I have ever come across in the medical field. They are truly top notch... Weve also gotten to know a few of the patients and their caregivers. Their stories and companionship have helped to make our journey much easier... Angela Hughes Donnie Emmert Terri Santmyire & Sharon VanDyk Jordan thanks for watching out for my guy when I cant be there... You guys are the best!!! I do have to say that all of this traveling back and forth and having to leave the love of my life in Chicago has taken its toll... I truly appreciate all of you that check in with me by text, fb messaging and phone calls, it really helps. You know who you are and I love you... Thank you to Mark & Laina Vann as well as Kris & Tony Barajas for feeding our boys when I was away in Chicago, you guys rock!!! Coming home on Sat to a house that had been toilet papered for the third time in 6 months was somewhat disheartening... Im hoping that this message finds its way to the actual people that did it and I want you to know that was truly bad form... Shame on you for not taking into consideration what our family is going through right now. Maybe you think it is funny and it was the first time it happened, the second time wasnt as funny and this time was just down right heart breaking. Brandon and Lane Mierop are working their butts off to keep everything in great condition for their dad and shame on you for making that job even more difficult... Shame on you... With that being said and now off my chest I seriously want to thank you our family and friends for all of the love, support and prayers, we truly couldnt get through this without you...
