Today morning in my office, I hosted the Ambassador of The United States to Kenya, His Excellency William Godec, who was accompanied by the U.S Minority Clerk on Senate Appropriations Sub-committee for the Department of State and Foreign Operations and other embassy officials. We held fruit full discussions on the reforms taking place in the National Police Service. I informed the delegation on the milestones that the service has achieved so far including provision of better housing for police officers, establishment of an Internal Affairs Unit, provision of Insurance Cover for our officers among other achievements. Ambassador Godec on his part acknowledged our progress on police reforms and pledged that the U.S government will continue supporting us on the war against terror in order to eliminate extremism.
