Today my Mom Rebecca would have been 84 years old. I was thinking of her at this turn of the seasons. I remember when my Dad would take her for a drive so they could admire the changing countryside. They would always converse in the Hocak language. They would laugh at inside jokes they shared. When us kids asked what they were laughing at, theyd tell us its funnier in Winnebago, & there are no english words to compare or describe it. I didnt know what that meant as a kid & on some level Ill never know but their love & lives were that much more endearing & celebrated because they were able to communicate this way, they had an understanding. I love You Mama. I know in Heaven youre smiling & watching over us. Someday well all be together again. Pinagigi for being a good little Mom to all us kids. I was thinking of all the classic country music shed listen to. I can clearly hear her voice still, singing this one as though it were yesterday....
