Today my post is not actually about food / for people who are looking for weight loss. I just hope this post will help people who are suffering from Diabetes (High blood sugar ). N its going to be a long post because it involves my emotion too. Six months back suddenly my PAPA was diagnosed with Diabetes and i was totally in shock because my parents are one of the most simple food eaters, they hardly eat outside and no cold drinks / sweets (occasionally ). Then i thought it must be in his Genes, this is genetic in our family so even he got hit. And we were left with no other option but to start the medicine. For two months with medicine also his sugar was always at a bit above the borderline. Whenever i used to do Skype with him,he looked very disappointed. Me n my father share very different relationship,we are best buddies and at the same time we fight too much ;). I can never forgot his lines that he used to say whenever i had fight with him. Koi dekhega agar tumko iss tarah then they will think ki tum padosi ki bet ho ;) I started thinking there must be some other option apart from medicine. N mere andaar Keeda hai,if i want to find something i will never give up till the time i get it. I started digging internet and Journals. And i found something at various sites along with Journals. Bus phir kya tha validate karne mein lag gayi. Asked my father to try this and yes in one month his sugar was below the borderline. I wanted to share this because its a big group and i hope somebodys father/mother or any other person gets benefited too. This is the remedy - soak cut-up okra/bindi pieces in water overnight and then drink the juice in the morning (Empty stomach). Science behind this is the superior insoluble fibre contained in okra is believed to help stabilise blood glucose by slowing the rate at which sugar is absorbed from the intestinal tract.
