Today my sister Laurinda Chris Reeves-Armstrong, niece Kimberly - TopicsExpress

Today my sister Laurinda Chris Reeves-Armstrong, niece Kimberly Armstrong-Briggs, and I walked the same land my great grandparents did as a newly wed couple. As we did, I imagined my footsteps falling in those theyd left behind. Enlightened conversation filled the air as we breathed in our history and spoke our future in to being. Rooted in the rich red Mississippi mud tall, strong, beautiful trees stood audience to our laughter, and shaded our path; are those the very trees my grandmother Earmia played among as a child? I imagined, as we walked along and talked of our future, half dreaming, half planning, with a wide-awake faith, the very soil was moved to say, they sound just like Earmia. Truly we are blessed.
