Today one of our training horses was picked up by its owner. This always leaves me with mixed emotions. This young mare had been staying with us at Falling Star Ranch for more than two months and I am sad to see her leave as I had developed quite a bond with her and really enjoyed working with her. On the other hand I am also very happy that the mare is reunited with her owner who will hopefully enjoy her as much as I have during her time here at Falling Star Ranch. I am also very thankful for having such a varied and rewarding job. This mare came to Falling Star Ranch braced, high-headed, very spooky and worried about anything new, and within a matter of weeks I was riding her not only in the indoor and outdoor arenas, but also out on the trails, along the highway, through bush, and up and down hills. Do you have a horse that you would like to get started under saddle or have some issues with? We are currently booked with training horses, but have one opening in October and one in November.
