Today our baby girl is 31 weeks and 2 days! Only 61 days to go.... AND only 10 days until our next scan!!! Well yesterday I went to our local shopping center to get Chelsea some pants that shed tried on over the weekend and decided she wanted! I had only one hour to spare! Still, there was something about yesterday that made me want to GO FOR GOLD with getting more baby things ready!! Like theres anything more to do, right? Well, I always think of something! So, I ran around like a crazy woman! Id already bought a few things like Sudocream, bongela (for teething) etc....well, I decided to double up on everything to keep a stash for the nappy bag! 2 lots of panadol, 2 lots of baby sunscreen, anit-bacterial wipes, more paw paw cream, and the list goes on! I then raced around and stocked up on nappy bags for those smelly nappy changes! Again, doubled up so that the nappy bag has a stash! Then there were the other things I got that I wont tell you about as Ill use them as Baby Items of the Week! All Ill say is this- I LOVE A BARGAIN! Anyway I got home and had all these new things and couldnt help myself.....so I started packing the nappy bag! We really are now SET in that department! All I have to do is add some clothes for when bubs is in the hospital but the rest is DONE for outings as soon as we get home! Again, I wont tell you whats in it, as Ill do a WHATs IN MY NAPPY BAG VLOG! And thats not jsut about my bragging either! For those who arent familiar with the YouTube community search that title and wait for all the listings to pop up! New mums all over the world are showing people whats in their nappy bags! And the views are out of control! Thousands!! Not that we expect lots of views, but it seems to be the done thing if youre doing pregnancy vlogs! So, Ill get on to that..... I have also found Bubs Coming home from the hospital outfit! Yes, it hasnt been bought yet, but has been found! Its a simple onesie like we wanted, to make her comfortable, but I got my wish for something pretty! We were going to go funky I couldnt help myself! As soon as I saw this pink little outfit I knew it was a great compromise for me and Chels! I originally wanted a little dress for her but Chels was more keen on something simple! This is girly, but practical! Ill post a pic as soon as we buy it!! Hmmmm, what else to talk about?? Basically the last things we need to do now is buy Chels some nursing bras and tops! She got a couple from Target that I found for her the other day which are great! Maternity AND nursing so she can wear them for the last GROWING months too!! She is going to go the BONDS route! WE all know Chels LOVES her Bonds brand for bubs, so I suggested she take that route for her too!! Its wonderful that they stock maternity/nursing bras! She is going to get a couple of nursing singlets, and a couple of bras! Then some Pjs and a gown for hospital and that really is IT! I promise!! Hehe!! By the way, you know whats going to be hard?? Leaving Chels and the bubs for the time shes in hospital! Going through the public system means that I cant stay overnight, whereas we have friends who have gone private that had this privilege for their partners! Such a shame! How am I supposed to leave my darling wife AND my new baby girl? I know its only for a couple of nights, but I know Ill struggle! Still, I have to come home to the furbabies and care for them which will be a distraction! I cant see myself sleeping though! Which is CRAZY as Ill need my sleep! But even when Chels goes away for work I cant sleep......and thats going to be completely INTENSIFIED knowing I have a daughter away from me too!! One thing I will go is focus on getting everything perfect for when they come home!! And, Ill be there at the hospital until they kick me out!! Can you believe this is only about 61 days away!!??
