Today our new neighbours at number 8 had tree loppers arrive and start to remove the Norfolk Island Pine from their back yard.I went out to ask if they had permission from Council, the man from over their back fence and the man from number 6 seemed to be in charge of proceedings,no we dont need permission, a quick check of Parramatta Councils web site dispelled that myth. I phoned council, they sent a ranger out, and work stopped. The man from over the back fence asked me if Id phoned council, I said yes, then he told me that, he, the man from number 6 and the neighbour had all chipped in to pay to have the tree removed as it was a nuisance, I suggested that they all now chip in to pay the fine for illegally removing the tree. The fine could be as much as $110,000, a small price to pay for the man over the back fence not having leaves land in his pool. Message to neighbours in McKillop Place, dont f#ck with the guy at number 10, hes had enough of your environmental vandalism.Now what are you going to do with that 12 foot high trunk?, maybe a nice pot plant on top would look nice.
