Today started off wonderfully - we attended mass this morning and watched our lovely niece make her confirmation. Then we received the call a parent never wants to get - our daughter had been in a car accident while leaving work today. A pick up truck pulled out in front of her while she was entering the intersection (she had the green light). Her little red Jeep had to be towed to the car dealer. Thank GOD she is okay - quite shaken and bruised - the seat belt did its job, but her chest is hurting and she has bruises on both knees! The doctor gave her some pretty good medicine and she is now home and resting. We are also thankful that she has such caring co-workers at Sigma - they have all volunteered to help cover her shift tomorrow so she can stay home and rest. The doctor told her she will probably feel worse tomorrow - not good. Now we have to deal with the insurance and getting her a replacement car. We are all tired and ready for bed.
