Today the Buddhadharma system is filled with all kinds of impractical methods of the Buddhadharma. We listen to it, like sacrificial lambs ready for the slaughter. We never question its motives, until we are stung with an awareness that something is not right about the path. There is so much realizations in the middle way, and all kinds of schools and lineages. My biggest realization came when I stop thinking that one culture had the truth in dharma, and I should follow the concepts without question. This is in the fabric of most Buddhist cultures today. They want to perserve the past, and become attached to it until death do we part. It is imposed on the West like a caged mental scenario, much like a government "Think tank" as the absolute truth without question. This is not Buddhism, or its tenets, but a spiritual control system to stop individual people from realization of the truth.
