Today, the Irving Park Community Food Pantry provided food and other assistance to 410 people in 141 households with 47 people in 20 households coming for the first time. Our on-site Web SNAP volunteers helped one households to apply for SNAP benefits. Our Pet Food Corner provided pet food and supplies to 70 households with 86 dogs and 80 cats. Beginning on the evening of Tuesday September 10th, the Pantry will open on the second Tuesday of each month between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm to serve those in need who are not able to come for assistance during our daytime hours. Thanks to all who make our work possible. Together, we are neighbors helping neighbors!
