Today, the rain that the sisters at Immaculate Conception Convent have been praying for came at last. It has been unseasonably dry in Kingston lately, and as a result, weve had to be careful about our water usage. The sisters tell me that, were it not for the pumps and the extra water tanks at Immaculate, we may have had a day without water. This beautiful rainstorm reminds me of how precious water is, which give life to all of Creation. I am also reminded of the sisters ongoing commitment to working to better care for our Sister Mother Earth. We must all remember to be conscious of the water that we use.
