Today was a day of new products. Our Markon produce came out with a new product call Kalettes!! It is a brand new vegetable with the best of the flavors of brussel sprouts and kale! It is a neat new cross veggie! I developed a couple new dishes with it! A Honey Teriyaki Chicken breast that I grilled the kalettes with, which came out great drizzling a bit of the sauce I made for the chicken on it. I love grilled kale, and it is a hot item! Then I made a Sriracha Shrimp similar to the dish I made on Good Life, Good Food on Monday only using the Kalettes instead of straight kale. I blanched it first so that when I sauteed it with the shrimp it was tender. I was really pleased with both dishes, and had lots of great feed back from the people who tried it. I love developing new dishes, especially with a NEW vegetable. Good Life folks! Enjoy!
