Today was a great day of worship. I started with time with the LORD in Deuteronomy Chapter 11. Deuteronomy 11:1 -- THEREFORE thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway. A great time at church in the prayer room. Are Common Grounds fellowship was centered around doughnuts. All kinds of doughnuts were brought today. In our Connect Group we talked about 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are Ambassadors for Christ. In our Morning Service we had a great time singing to the LORD. Our Pastor preached from 2 Timothy 4:6 - 8. 5 Commitments To Finishing Well in 2015. 1. Spend increased time in Gods word. 2. Maintain a biblical and pure thought life. 3. Pray for a humble spirit. 4. Make no provision for the flesh. 5. Cultivate Godly relationships. Two realities: 1. Pride swells in us, we must daily die to self. 2. Christians more known than you and me have not finished well. Tonight in our evening service our Pastor preached from Philippians 2:19 - 30 . Make Yourself Useful. God uses people who serve: Others, Consistently, & Sacrificially. 2015 Politics: Put these truths into practice and you will finish well serving in your political office the people elected you to.
