Today was a milestone in my fire service career. I would like to - TopicsExpress

Today was a milestone in my fire service career. I would like to start off by saying Thank You any and all of my friends and colleagues that I have had technical rescue training with, from and for. Today I was able to operate as the operations command at a successful trench rescue in Grove City, PA. It has been 15 years since East End Fire Department - Mercer, PA purchased its first Airshore Struts and eventually helped or formed into the Mercer County Collapse Rescue Team made up with members from many departments in the local area. At times it became frustrating and discouraging to the point that we would wonder if it was really a needed resource due to the lack of Rescue Calls. Today there are two men still alive because of the commitment and determination of everyone on the team. For that I am very proud. As with any call there are always things that could be done different or better and Im sure when we review this call we will find ways to improve, but today was a great success and I am looking forward to an energized future with the team. I have tagged a few friends but there are many others.
