Today was an object lesson in picking yourself up and going on. I didnt sleep well last night, because I was so upset about the poor score and the judges comments. But I got up this morning painfully aware that yesterday was irretrievable. Today was all potential, though. We went out and I tried the best I could to fix the things that seemed to have discontented yesterdays judges. We brought our scores up to what I am more accustomed to seeing, and took 3rd out of about 28 horses, which is not too shabby. Of course, I did not have those grinchy judges (and Im not being sour; some of our professional riders are furious at one of the judges for low scores and similar comments). And of course, tomorrow is hump day, and guess who I have for judges?
