Today was another lesson in trust. While we were at the - TopicsExpress

Today was another lesson in trust. While we were at the festival, Mackenzie decided that she wanted to go down the really high and steep inflated slide. After insisting that this was the slide that she wanted to go on, we agreed to let her go. I will admit that my heart was up inside my throat at one point as I watched the much older children careen down the slide. Mackenzies turn came up and she had no problem at all! She went up the ladder and down the slide 3 times and even consoled the older girl who was too afraid to slide down once she reached the top. Im glad that we decided to trust in Mackenzie and her abilities. Even other people were commenting at her confidence as she went down the slide. What are some examples of times where you almost stopped your child from doing something because of all the worst case scenarios running through your head, only to realize that they are absolutely capable and there was nothing to worry about?
