Today was hard. I have a lot of respect for my Grandparents because in a world that says I wont fight for my marriage, Ill just cast it aside, they did not. And times werent easy for them. They were not wealthy, things were not handed to them. He drove a truck, and my Grandmother was a housewife who raised 3 rowdy boys. Today, I had to watch my Grandmother bury her husband of 63 and almost 64 years. As the tears flowed from her eyes and she clung to her last few minutes with him, I was overcome with sadness at the finality of the whole situation. The gentle way she kissed his forehead and held his hand, then said goodbye. Praise God for Jesus Christ and his grace that will allow them to be reunited. If it werent for that Grace, today would have been impossible. Until we meet again and are gathered up there, enjoy ole glory Grandaddy.
