Today was the first day applications were accepted for the Artspace Loveland Lofts in Colorado, and despite the very cold weather, 35 artists were in line when the the Loveland Housing Authority opened the doors at 8 a.m. Our favorite comments from applicants on the cue: Back home and warming my toes ... was worth it to be in line early this morning and be among the first couple dozen to turn in our applications. What a great bunch of folks to be in line with! I was number 9 in line! It was soooo cold at less than 18 degrees when I arrived at 6AM....I cant express how good it felt to get in a hot shower when I got back home. But even better, I am so happy and relieved that I am one of the first ten to get time-stamped. HOORAY! LHA is still accepting applications on a first-come first-reviewed basis.
