Today was the first time in years that I visited the place where I learned how to debate (aka the 2nd floor canteen of Hijas haha). It was nostalgic to see that amidst all the changes--like how my favorite pancit canton place no longer exists, or how there is now a legit sign-in sheet and payment for trainers, or all the kids names/faces I no longer recognize--it seemed like everything was still the same. Most especially, it reminded me of all the late nights Samantha Lee Tornilla took out of her busy schedule to train us in prep for PSDC. Thanks for having me Ralph Gonzales (rather, leaving me alone to train your kids while you were late, as usual) Bea Tiu Katsuya Akamatsu Antonio Miguel Lagura Jacob Mikkel Neri etc. Of course, the highlight of my day was being fed pancit canton without even asking!
