Today we arrived in the seaport of Gothenburg, Sweden. Once - TopicsExpress

Today we arrived in the seaport of Gothenburg, Sweden. Once again, great ties to the sea and once again-- a land of Scandinavian blondes : ) We saw the picturesque Masthuggs church. Interesting, as you will see, because the ceiling resembles the bottom skeleton of a boat. Swedens craftsmanship and clean lines are apparent everywhere. Then we saw Gothenburg from a different perspective as we went down the many canals on a padden boat. Some of the bridges were so low we had to sit on the floor of the boat -- especially the bridge nicknamed the cheese slicer. : ) Part of this canal system was the moat built to protect the city in the 17th century -- to keep away the pesky Norwegians and Germans. We saw a beautiful sailboat regatta and experienced every kind of weather on the spectrum. Great day, beautiful country .
