Today we celebrate the birthday of a person who is the most accurate representation of Superwoman I have ever met -my mother!! The comfort that comes from our friendship, the confidence that her belief in me instills, and her unquestioning support is irreplaceable but above all this, she recognized the importance of exposing me to the Gospel at a very young age so that she might train up her child!! We have shared laughs and wiped each others tears and when I was out of line, she corrected me -not out of a desire to belittle or denigrate me but out of a genuine concern for my soul. I am well aware of those who were denied the tender ministrations of their mothers as they grew up and in light of this I am all the more grateful for her kindness and unwavering love!! She influenced me to find Jesus at a very young age and with their help, I shall avoid the many pitfalls of this world that so many must endure before they acknowledge Jesus as their Savior. I love you, mommy!! Happy birthday!! Heres a shout out to Jesus for blessing me with one of the most unselfish people as my mother!!
