Today we drove up the coast through Pebble Beach and other golf courses into Monterey. Saw John Steinbeck and Cannery Row. I was not impressed. The drive into San Francisco was not fun. Narrow streets, unclear traffic lanes, bicycles everywhere, and one way streets. It seemed like a million people at the wharf area. Parking for less than 3 hours was $27.00. We did have a good meal at Forest Gumps Shrimp Co. restraunt. We drove to the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped at both ends for pictures. Stayed till almost dark to take pictures of the lights on the bridge. Drove to Petaluma and got a room. Will continue on north tomorrow.
