Today we have an endorsement from Brother Sam Anderson of Illinois. To the Delegates of the 46th International DeMolay Congress, The office of International Master Councilor is the highest and most honorable office that an active DeMolay can hold. To be IMC one must display extraordinary leadership and communication skills. We, as DeMolays, are all equal. We all have one vote in our chapter meetings, and we can all voice our opinion the same. We are all leaders, however, in our order, we must have certain people who step-up and take charge of the body. This year at Session, the delegates from each jurisdiction will have many great candidates to choose from, but one in particular sticks out to me, and that is Bro. Bob Laing of Ohio. Since we are from different jurisdictions, Bro. Laing and I are only at a few events together throughout the year. But every time I see him, he is always talking to members young and old with a positive attitude. He is always glad to help out, and never shys away from from talking about DeMolay to those who are not familiar with it. I believe that the most important thing that a leader can do, is to talk to their members. Whether it’s about DeMolay or just how they’re doing in general, it can mean a lot, and that is exactly what Bro. Laing displays. Bob has earned many awards along his DeMolay journey, but no award means anything unless that young man lives up to the standards that DeMolay teaches, and I firmly believe that Bro. Laing has. The way he carries himself, and treats others definitely shows that he lives DeMolay. That should be the goal of all of us - to live DeMolay. Bob has done that. He has a plan. He has a path to make that plan work, and he has a goal. I am proud to say that I endorse Brother Bob Laing of Ohio for the office of International Master Councilor, and I welcome all my brothers to join me in that stance. Samuel P.
