Today, we highlight two more Seats of Honor: Robert Anderson and Ralph Nurse. When the Anderson family dedicated a Seat of Honor for their father, Robert Anderson, they mailed us a few photos to include in the dedication ceremony. We were delighted to recognize another individual in Anderson’s photos – Ralph Nurse, who served with Anderson in World War II. Nurse’s daughter, Kay, had donated some of his Intrepid memorabilia to the Museum’s collection, so we knew his face well. Kay was excited to learn that Anderson and her father were friends, and the two families have since spoken about their connection. Kay is traveling to New York from Nebraska on Memorial Day to dedicate a Seat of Honor for her father, and his seat will be placed next to Anderson’s. Together they will serve as a continual reminder of the importance of duty, sacrifice and service. Thank you, Ralph and Robert!
