Today we passed by a man walking along Lawton Avenue under blazing - TopicsExpress

Today we passed by a man walking along Lawton Avenue under blazing heat with just an umbrella in hand and a sprained ankle. I couldnt tolerate the fact that people just passed by him without a care, so we turned our car around and stopped in front of him only to find out a grim story behind. He came all the way from Silang, Cavite with the slightest chance of hope to ask for help from his former construction co-workers. He needed money to pay for the permit to bury his two kids who died of starvation due to lack of food whilst staying in the Villamor Airbases evacuation center. These two kids were named John Rey and Michel Mejia who were both rescued with him from Tacloban back in November 2013 due to the Yolanda typhoon. Before the rescue he already lost his wife, two brothers, and two more of his kids in the flood. He has asked for help from our government officials, and was always returned with a gruesome response, walang pondo. The name of this man is AURELLO MEJIA, we have already dropped him to a ride back to Cavite along with enough money to pay for his kids burial. All he asks for is to go back home to Tacloban, and all I ask for is for you to simply click the SHARE button, until we create enough awareness. Please help a fellow citizen in need. Please.
