Today we visited the Elan Valley in Wales. As we rounded the bend to the visitors centre the sight of the dam wall in full flood just took our breath away and was one of those OMG moments. Despite it being a cold, wet and miserable day, the extraordinary beauty of this place more than made up for it. We thought we could cover the 20 mile round trip in just a few hours , however it ended up taking us 4 hours. This place is just stunning with a million photographic opportunities, hence the many, many, many stops along the way. Its the kind of place you have to devote a whole day to as theres just so much to take in, a truly big sky experience.
