Today we went and did all of the pre-op stuff for Bennett to have - TopicsExpress

Today we went and did all of the pre-op stuff for Bennett to have his valve replaced on Monday. This is a big surgery. They have to open his chest and stop his heart, and cut out a part of his heart and replace it with (he is going with a pig valve) pork products. I know we have prayer warriors at work but I would still ask that you would pray for him to have a strong valve that will last him a very long time, and that his recovery will be swift. I can not tell you how hard it has been for me to hand this over to God and really mean it. I think that is the point. We are often challenged to overcome those things that are out of our comfort zone. I have found in my life that the zone keeps growing. I can only believe that there is a reason for that. I trust that God is in complete control of this, I have given it to him, and have found peace within myself. I think the thing that made me truly struggle the most was Bennetts doubt of the outcome. I was pretty much cruising through it before then with my God glasses on. When doubt crept in so did my fear. It has taken me some time to hand this over as I should and frustrated me that I struggled. He is so much more to me than I could ever express to you in words and my experience with Taylor I think made it all the more terrifying. All that to say. God has got this. His will is perfect. I believe that Bennett will be better because of it but can accept whatever may come. When I ask for your prayers just know that I believe even within his will we can improve any situation. That applies to us but also to you, never doubt that prayer will change your life. I know it has and will change ours. Love and blessings to you all. Laura
