Today were working on ... information and support. Theres no real dividing line between information and support - its always a bit of both, and today weve been doing a bit of both - as always. We are undertaking a review of our publications and there is a lot of work going on in the background with respect to this at the moment. Look out for announcements in the coming months. I have also been contacting medical professionals on our database to ask if they would like to be put on the circulation list to receive a digest of scientific papers, courtesy of IPWSO and our President, Tony Holland, and have been gratified to see the number of people who are interested. Then there is support. Took a call today from a mum, very worried because her 17 year old son has run away from home and has been missing a week. Shes concerned the police are not taking the case seriously enough and wanted media contacts. Ive contacted the Metro paper to see if they will help (they ran a story on PWS recently), but if anyone out there has media contacts who might be interested in the story and can help us find this young man, please let me know. Ive also been working on firming up speakers for our National Conference - already we have quite a few bookings coming in, and were really looking forward to seeing old friends and new there. Every day is different in the PWSA office, but dont forget were always here to help! - Jackie Waters
