Today will be a day to stay weather alert as showers and thunderstorms move in early this afternoon. All of central Ohio is under a slight risk for severe storms, with a more serious moderate risk in place for southeastern Ohio. The cities of Lancaster and Zanesville are included in the moderate risk area. These afternoon and early evening storms could have heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail and even isolated tornadoes. We are starting the day with mostly cloudy skies and very mild temperatures in the lower 70s. By this afternoon, we start to see our next round of rain and storms move in. Rain will be on and off overnight into Monday with some way below normal temperatures. Highs will only be in the lower 70’s Monday and Tuesday and will remain on the cool side through the entire week.
