Today, with kind the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, I celebrate the 7th anniversary of my arrival in SA. On a cold spring morning, seven (7) years ago, I touched down at the OR Tambo International Airport. Today i sit in my cool, calm office looking out at the beautiful skyline of Johannesburg CBD and reflecting on this extraordinary journey! Arriving to embark on my second masters degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT), this journey will take me through to PhD, a year long Post Doctoral Research Fellowship, a short role as Scientific Officer at UCT, before finally settling down in the City of Gold at a Lecturer at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). I praise and glorify Allah for this enormous favor and blessings He has bestowed upon me! This is why, with His grace and mercy, I am always happy to give the charity. As a message on this special day in my journey, I want to advice all to always share of what Allah has given you with those for whom the vicissitude of this life has deprived a chance to be as favored as you are today! May Allah blessing and reward your efforts with His infinite mercy, grace and benevolence!
