Todays Dog of the Day is Noah II. Noah is a 12 year old senior and weighs approximately 30 pounds. Noahs foster mom had nothing but good things to say about him! Here are some of the highlights! Noah is a lover boy. He loves to lay on your lap, go for long walks, play with babies (toys), and loves to be by your side at all times! He gets along great with kids, other dogs, strangers, basically he has the most infectious personality and his demeanor couldnt be better! The only time he barks is when they hear me outside and they are inside, or when he is super excited and is in play mode! Noah loves to learn too. He knows the following commands: Left side (outside walking), outside (potty), duties (poopy), NO, good boy, come, sit, stay, on the rug (they wait on the dining room rug while I prepare the food & cannot come into the kitchen until called), treat, drop it (he likes to eat cat pooh when I allow him to walk on our yard, so to keep him from getting sick later, I ask him to drop it) & leave it (when out for a walk and he diverts his attention to a cat). Currently we are working on Down and Five. Noah has the energy of a 2 or 3 year old beagle - definitely not like a 12 year old. The only older age signs would be when he gets up from a down position, he takes his time, stretches and moans and groans!! His ears are a bit gray too, but dont let the looks fool you! When I return home from being away, he does come running to the door to greet me. When his foster brother Mauer joins in the greeting, they take off running back and forth and play like puppies!
