Todays Horse Report: Video of Tarp Traning This is the video of todays tarp training with Lorrinda Gomez and her horse Maverick. Please note that Ground Work is the most important part of Horse Training and with out it results will vary but most often end up with even deeper problems. Never force your horse to do anything doing so only creates fear and makes for a reactive horse making it so one can never know how your horse will react. Working at the horses pace makes for a much better calmer horse who will do for you things because it wants to, some horses take a little longer to achieve goals while other mover along rather fast but in all cases the horses ability to progress depends on taking your time. I have been fortunate to have been taught forceful training at a young age and even though I didnt know better at such a young age I knew something was wrong which was proven when I was taught a better way, a way of compassion by and old Indian Horse Trainer. Later in life if found after working with many kinds of animals a more natural way of training that proved to form bonds that were forever lasting and what gave me an uncannily ability to read animals more accurately. Having a horse do for you because its what they want to do is more rewarding then you can imagine. Hope you enjoy the video of Lorrinda and Maverick, I feel they will go far as the bond between them is already strong and Maverick has a good calm foundation to begin with. I am happy and very honored that Larrinda believes in me and trust me to allow me to help her reach her goals to become a better Horseperson.
