Todays Obscure Character: Axel Cluney aka Zeitgeist Axels mutant powers manifested themselves when he was having a make out session with a young woman. He spit/vomited an acid all over the girl, destroy her face. This would torment him for years, but did not keep him from becoming a leader in X-Force (which later became X-Statix), the reality TV mutant superhero team. Zeitgeist was like many of the members and a bit of an egotist. He had no close connections to any of the team except for a fling with Eddie Sawyer, U-Go Girl. When the boy band Boyz R Us is kidnapped by terrorists, the X-Force team was sent to rescue them, mostly for the publicity. Unfortunately things go very, very wrong and the team is mostly slaughtered, including Zeitgeist. It was revealed later that Zeitgeist, along with the behind the scenes member, Coach, had arranged the entire Boyz R Us massacre to boost the teams failing ratings and allow for new team members. marvel.wikia/Axel_Cluney_%28Earth-616%29
