Todays Purity Promise ~ My Daily Herbs. I dont use herbs, - TopicsExpress

Todays Purity Promise ~ My Daily Herbs. I dont use herbs, generally. Although I do use a great deal of garlic salt in cooking. But that is all going to change and not with a slow introduction of new herbs, hidden in my cooking. I am leaping into the deep end with two herbal teas a day and not the refreshing, minty kind or the smooth, relaxing kind. This tea is not for sipping with my finger sandwiches or for helping me to sleep. This tea is for balancing, strengthening and purifying my insides...which I imagine to mean that its going to taste like body odor. (sorry, but I worked at a gym and thats my frame of reference) I have a selection of 13 different herbs to choose from. I will combine two or three, mix into a mug of hot water, let steep for about 7 minutes, then drink after breakfast and again around three in the afternoon. Im going to shop online to find some pre-made tea bags with the herbal mixture, to make it easier on myself. But I can always fill my own tea bags, if I dont find anything available. Im thinking that using tea bags that I can remove after steeping may be less intense than if I were to try and drink it with the undesolved herbal powders in the bottom of my mug. Ive never drank anything like this before, so trying to decide which herbs to combine shouldnt be much of an overwhelming task, as each combination will probably be just as disgusting as the next. I think I will begin with mixing tumeric, ginger and cumin. Maybe it will taste like Indian, Asian and Mexican take-home leftovers. Who knows? Oh, I guess I will know, later on this morning. Whatever the taste, I am on board with being more pro-active in my health, vitatlity and overall enjoyment of life. I do slip up from time to time in trying to develop discipline, but my focus never changes. No more looking for others to make me feel loved, blaming outside influences for my anger or heartache, or suffering with headaches because I wear the label headache sufferer. I am in charge of every aspect of my life, so no more complaining. I am grateful for my life and I am motivated to make the most of each day in it. I wish Id done this sooner.
