Todays She-ro of the past is Coretta Scott King. After her husbands 1968 assassination she continued to work tirelessly for the Civil Rights Movement and racial equality. King also dedicated herself to the Womens Rights and LGBT movements. Her strong beliefs in social, political and economic equality for all people led her to lead a gathering of more than 800 human rights organizations, the Coalition of Conscience, on the 20th anniversary of the March of Washington.
