Todays What the heck! Apparently a mouse or other small creature made its way into the heater of my Ford Focus on Sunday. As I was driving to the the CAMS Airshow in Tustin, MI, I turned the AC on and a horrible graunching sound (that is a technical term) with vibration came out of the console . . kind of like hard vegetables in the garbage disposal. It would go away if I turned the fan off, and come back if I turned the fan on. Then, as suddenly as it started, it stopped. I thought all was well until Monday evening, when Kathy noticed an odor in the car like I had run over some horse poop. Well it got stronger yesterday. Enough of the good news . . . the blower motor assembly on a 2013 Ford Focus is buried in the center console. I spent an hour seeing if I could do the work. So far I have not even spotted the blower assembly. This is going to be expensive to fix. I wonder if this would be considered a warranty or insurance claim?
