Todays bible class was on Luke 5. Jesus called Simon as his first disciple. In Mark, detailed description did not appear. Just a few simple sentences. But here you can find more elaborate description how Jesus met Simon. I preached about Peters faith. When Jesus asked Simon to go to deep water and throw the net, it might be difficult for Simon to obey it. Simon was a skilled fisherman. He thought he knew the lake better than any others. Yet, he obeyed Jesus words and went to deep water. He threw his net to the deep water. What happened? He got so many fishes that the boat was almost sinking. One should accept and obey the words of God without reasoning. At that moment, miracles occur to you. God gives you overwhelming blessings to you.
