Todays feature is Carl Casales 1949 Allis Chalmers G. Carls father, Joe, told me that he thinks they purchased this one new in 1951 so it must have spent an little time in a warehouse somewhere. The Casale family actually used 8 of these tractors on their vegetable farm in Oregon. Carl says that they had different ones set up for different tasks such as plowing, planting, mowing, and cultivating. The implements mounted between the driver and front wheels so it was easy to see exactly what was happening. Carl said you could see the seeds laying in the soil before the planter covered them up, so you knew everything was just as desired.
