Todays gratitude: 1) Im grateful to wake up in Sunset Park where elotes and tamales are sold on every corner and hard working people from Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, Mexico, Ecuador and China (among others) struggle to make ends meet…and to be part of a community movement to keep our neighborhood welcoming and affordable for everyone. 2) Im grateful to be heading off to see Finding Hope in the Struggle in Columbia SC this weekend and so proud of my stepdaughter Kiwan! 3) Im grateful for the beautiful bag of fresh organic vegetables that I pick up at St. Jacobi every Monday from our community supported farmer.
