Todays research involving a Low Res upload, showing the first trial of a free program called SplitCam. Were upgrading the studio Soft / hardware and are looking into an incredibly capable 10 bit, semi pro 4K mini Camcorder from Sony for our upcoming DVD/Blue-Ray video and music productions. Our now vintage Canon XL-2 would be great to retire to the studio for streaming purposes via Skype I thought to myself (to ease online collaborative work etc), and so I did a quick research online and downloaded a solution which does allow me to use my XL-2 with Skype / make live Two CAM PIP / screen captures etc. After checking on a second PC, I found that the quality was rather good so I went on to do a 800 x 600 video save test (youre watching a low-res version of it). Split-CAM does have many functions which for instance allows you to add your Web CAM as a picture in picture, and replace Two streaming devices with your desktop etc, should you find a need to do so.
