Todays sermon topic- proverbs 31 woman- being a wise woman. there are topics you hear over and over again , growing up in church, you pretty much hear a book up for discussion and know where the pastor is going to be heading with his theme. any CHristian can do it I think. quick, what do you think of when you hear Job for instance, Proverbs? Revelation? I,II,III John. yeah. so yeah, you can hear things so much you just tune it out. I know this, hmmm what do I want to do this afternoon? .... yet there are times when you are ready to put the pastor on mute while your mind goes channel surfing, but then somehow the words just reach out and grab you and make you stop and think. Who can measure up to the Proverbs 31 woman? seriously, it is like the impossible standard. So I was prepared and more than willing to tune him out. I dont need to feel a failure. But I gotta admit, it got me. it made me think of how I use my time, my priorities, some personal areas I wont go into. sometimes you stand in the presence of God and just feel so ashamed. and I know He isnt out to make me feel that way, but just wants to wake me up to what I am missing. and thats all I am going to say about that.
