Todays visit to the Cairo museum was pretty overwhelming. Impossible to imagine that almost everything we saw dates back to 3000 BC. One if the highlights: the treasures found in the tomb of the boy King Tut, a minor Pharaoh and yet his tomb was crammed with incredible jewelry, chariots, boats.silver, gold. Tombs of much more famous pharaohs were plundered and robbed so one can only imagine what they must have contained. This tomb is the only one found that was untouched. His clothes still preserved, some of the seeds entombed with him for his journey to the afterlife have been planted since being found and actually grew into wheat- 5,000 years later!
