The song reached number One in Austria, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Canada it peaked at 32 in the United States. Maradona was with Napoli from 1984 to 1992 although he was unable to play for the final 15 months of his time there because of a ban for testing positive for cocaine. During his time with the team Napoli won 2 league titles (1986-87 and 1989-90), a Copa Italia title (1987), and the afore mentioned UEFA Cup (1989) Theses titles were the first for a Southern Italian team, Maradona would comment on the North/South tension during the 1990 World Cup insisting that Neapolitans support his Argentina team rather than the Italian nation squad. “I dont like the fact that now everybody is asking Neapolitans to be Italian and to support their national team. Naples has always been marginalized by the rest of Italy.
