Today’s word of encouragement: “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15-17 We need to be conscience of not only where we walk but how we walk. Matthew 10:16 states we must be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Since God orders or directs our steps we must do our very best to respond in the most excellent way possible. His grace and mercy buffers our pursuit of his good, acceptable, and pleasing will. How I personally picture this is like those who have been trained in tracking. Trackers enlist every possible clue about the one they are pursuing. The footprints, broken branches, displaced leaf all speak clearly to the tracker at times being on hands and knees is required. We follow after God in like manner. Time is a critical ingredient in our lives. “Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.” Colossians 4:5-6 Yes the days may be evil but the kingdom of God is advancing and expanding. Read Daniel 2:32-34 and see a prophetic picture of God’s kingdom as it impacts the kingdoms of the world. This is the “will of the Lord” which we participate in during our walk of faith. Today examine how and where you walk. Understand that where ever you foot steps you have been given authority to advance His kingdom. Bring the blessings of God not just His judgments. All creation waits for the revealing of the “sons of God” for their deliverance. Be the blessing which allows everyone to taste and see that the Lord is good! God bless you P.M.
