Toffees eye Richards raid Everton are considering a cheeky £2million swoop for Manchester Citys forgotten right-back Micah Richards. Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is looking to bolster his squad with Europa League football also on the menu this coming season. He wants a serious back-up to starlet Seamus Coleman and feels Richards might be able to get his career moving again at Goodison Park. Richards has entered the final year of his deal and has been pushed further down the pecking order behind Pablo Zabaleta, following the arrival of Bacary Sagna from Arsenal this summer. The player wants to play every week, however, and although remaining in the north West would be an attractive option, he would still need to hear Martinezs plans. Everton know Richards can also play in the centre of defence. They believe they can afford him further options by providing back-up to Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka. #Col
