Confusion and rumours have continued to reign, however, as hordes of PF cadres have descended upon Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka both yesterday and today. At one point, believing that President Sata had arrived, the group began singing and clapping, only to discover that it was his son, Mulenga Sata, whom had arrived. According to our most recent report, several of the groups of cadres remained stationed at the airport despite the president already having arrived. President Sata spent just under two weeks in Israel receiving medical treatment, while a succession struggle has broken out within the ruling party. There has still been no official statement from the government on President Sata’s location or status.
