Tommorrow, its just just 15 minutes down the road for my last talk of 2014 to Whitstable Photographic Group. Its a great shame my old mate Graham Miles wont be there to give me the usual load of stick, but Ill have visited him in hospital during the afternoon and asked the nurses to give him a really good alternative evening! Graham used to be a Canon user but changed to Nikon a few years back and became ill almost immediately. I warned him of the dangers in taking such a foolhardy step and how many Facebook friends he would lose. I pleaded with him, but to no avail. I even thought of poking him on Facebook, but, hey, friendship has its limits! Graham, a highly accomplished worker in both mono and colour, is responsible for getting me into serious black and white photography back in the mid-1980s. We used to get out together fairly often, but work commitments put paid to that for several years. Now that were both retired, that will change. We managed a day out together with the cameras a couple of months ago, had a fish and chip lunch to die for and both came home with one or two reasonable snaps that Ill show his club tomorrow for the first time. A bit of shi**ing on another good friends doorstep should make for an interesting evening. I wonder who that might be............ So, come on Gra, get your arse into gear and get well very quickly.
