Tommy was the first ever rock opera LP and the Who set an impossibly high bar that was at least equaled by Andrew Lloyd Webber (J.C. Superstar), Pink Floyd with two rock opera-style LPs, and again with their own Quadrophenia. Here is the biggest hit from the album. Pinball Wizard. I saw them do the Tommy tour live in 1969 with my best friend Tom and his girlfriend, Roberta. One of the highlights of my concert-going experiences.
