Tomorrow (Nov. 14th) will mark a special day for me. It marks the one year anniversary of No Food for Thought. In one year our small group went from idea to project. We arent huge, but our impact has been significant. We have had 160+ participants including college professors and presidents, friends, families, and strangers; our participants have pledged to skip 2640 meals in solidarity with a common cause; we have pledged $17,897.50 in donations to charities that are close to our hearts. Our money has sponsored orphans, supplied healthcare to the marginalized, fed a few hungry folks, and help provide access to education. The project was started on the premise that ALL OF US have the ability to make positive change in this sometimes disheartening world, and these numbers show the power we possess when we stand together for good. I would like to thank all of you who participated. You give me hope. Heres to you all for helping make our world a little better, may we continue to do so going forward. For all of you who want to be a part of our fun little project to do a little bit of good you can sign up here: nofoodforthought.org/ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, its the only thing that ever has. -Margaret Mead #NFFT
